The Wolfen King

Written by Pt, September 1, 1998

(Ideas inspired by Stella Tan: The Attic)

Prologue

"So, what is to be done with this fancy, eggsac king?" The others, dressed richly at counsel, chuckled.

"It is a prime chance, my Lord. Such youth is easily shaped. He has no genuine close advisors. His coffers are vast. It is so unfortunate that the oaken father died so suddenly without… preparations."

"I have been told that he is vain and headstrong, and his court made up of fawning youths who have found favor there. He considers himself a prepubescent patron of the Arts as well. It is said his plans for his kingdom are fantasies, and he would spend his people's wealth on whim. How long will it be before they grow tired of beauty over bread?"

"It has not even been a year and there are rumblings, though his youth and dreams still appeal to many who have been under harsher, less romantic rule. He gives them things they have never known, and promises more. They are bewildered by such grandiose gifts, if nothing else, and would wait a while longer."

"So our point is to influence, not expel? But who knows what direction such influence will take in such a one? He is unpredictable, and his goals unknown."

"All the better, my Lords. All the better."
