Gabriel Knight 1 : Cinema
First of all, the availability of these files were only made possible due to the damn-near coroner-inducing, blood vessel-popping efforts of Jay Prychidny.
Jay describes how he created these files:

"Actually, its rather
embarrasing how long it actually takes to make these darn things! What
I do is I start up one of those screen capture thingies. Once I press
"PrintScrn" the screen cpature window pops up, and the game action
stops. I save the file, go back to the game press "PrintScrn" again
really quickly when the next frame comes up. I can end up with between
4 and 200 bitmaps for an avi.
Then I turn off all the wav file audio, and record the midi music. I
have 2 soundcards, a MultiSound and a SoundBlaster 16. I have a line
running from the "out" of the MultiSound to the "in" of the
Soundblaster. A then play the midi on my MultiSound, and Record it on
the SoundBlaster.
I then do the same procedure, except I turn off the midi, and turn on
the wav files.
I then combine all these elements (The midi, the waves and the hundreds
of bitmap images) with Premiere 4.0. And tada! The AVI, she is
finished!"
