More info on "Project Jane-J"5th June 2003Another interview has appeared over at HomeLAN which talks more about the new game, as well as more general musings about the game industry and what she's been upto since GK3. Jane Jensen's working on a new game!31st May 2003Scant few details are available on what the new game will be about, but it won't be a new GK title. For more details check out an interview conducted by Just Adventure, and another by GameSpy. Both interviews contain interesting reflections post-GK, and what to expect in the near future. Win A Signed Copy Of Jane Jensen's Judgment Day!18th February 2003The folks over at Adventure Gamers sent word of a competition they are running where you can win a copy of "Judgement Day", Jane Jensen's latest novel. Be warned, some of the questions are decidedly tricky! Do You Want Gabriel Knight 4?1st August 2002If the answer is yes, Jane Jensen (creator of all the Gabriel Knight games to date) is asking people to email her with reasons why you would like to see a 4th installment, and if you you would prefer it to be in the form of a 2D, 3D, or live action game engine. Anyway, for more details on all this, head over to Sierra's community forums for more details, including the email address to write to! GK Fan Convention6th July 2000Damn, it would have been really cool to have been able to attend this thing. But fortunately for people like me, and thanks to the concerted effort of many people, you will be able to follow the proceedings online. Visit the GK Convention site to glean the details on registering with Worldstream who are broadcasting the event. Gabriel Knight Mix17th February 2000Completed all three games? Read the books? Decoded and viewed all the movies from GK3? Well download the dance mix of the Gabriel Knight theme created by Bart. It weighs in a tad over 5mb, but it is definitely worth it, as its a very nice mix. GK2 MP3's Up17th February 2000Gernot recently(ish) sent me over a whole new batch of GK2 mp3's that have been completely resampled. Until I get round to creating a jazzy table page to link them to, you can get the raw files directly. Gamespot GK3 Game Guide7th December 1999GameSpot UK have posted up a comprehensive walkthrough for GK3. Use it sparingly though! GK3 - Binding/Resolution Hack27th November 1999Since the game development has taken its time in being completed, a few users now have near-super computers sitting in their homes. If you regard yourself as a bit of a power user, and want to enjoy GK3 in the kind of screen resolutions other mortals merely dream of, try this registry hack posted onto comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.adventure by Christy (I don't think that its _the_ Christy, and that email address is most probably spam fodder!). Warning! Don't even think about modifying this registry branch if you don't know enough about registry editing, or your hardware to set these values to settings. Doing so could stop your computer from starting (or worse), and you will have no one to blame but yourself (You did make a backup right?)
Just finished a few hours of GK3, and I have to say that I am very impressed with it so
far. I will be reserving judgment until I complete the game, but its looking mighty fine
indeed. Its In My Sweaty Palms...26th November 1999"What is?" you cry. Why, the game of course. Being available to pick up as early as yesterday it seems, GK3 is now available in the UK at a RRP of £29.99 or less. After many years of waiting for this thing, I have no doubt that I will have a great
time playing it. I'll see you guys'n'gals on the other side... GK2 MIDI Files24th November 1999A person going by the handle Gernot has created and recorded one of the tunes in GK2 into MIDI format! You can get it (and an MP3 recorded version) from the GK2 Soundfiles section of the site. As I am sure most of you are aware, this is quite a difficult task, considering that they didn't exist at all in MIDI format, and have had to be created specially. Why not send a note to Gernot to encourage some more to be made? How Good Is Your GK Knowledge?11th November 1999Stephen Granade has cleverly
devised a
cool GK quiz, cunningly utilising the capabilities of a voting
system. Go over there and pass the time instead of asking when the game is
going to be released! Ok! Which three people didn't know what a "Schattenjager" was? Tut Tut! Say "Hi!" to Jane Jensen9th November 1999Well, if you leave near any of the American west coast areas she will be

Including a mysterious reference to the game ending. End of the road...12th March 1999...or maybe not. Today is my last day working at Easynet, and I will be off to pastures new. This leaves a rather large question mark over what will happen with my website, which has been hosted here for close to three years now. You may have noticed that I have updated all my email addresses to one that I can be reached at. In case you missed it its raymond.chitolie@tesco.net. In preparation, I have already made arrangements with Christy to take over the fan fiction archive. She (and others) have made superb efforts to make available fan fiction resources to many people, and I know that it will be in safe hands. There are far too many people to list individually here who have helped me over the years in spreading the good word of GK far and wide. I applaud you all! The site will be left here, with any luck it will either remain indefinitely, or be removed after a short while. Lets wait and see. Take it easy every one, and expect to see the resurrection of the Domain of Schattenjagers, in the not-too distant future. Ray. Previously on "News"...
New information will be posted (and credited) as and when I can get it. If you have some news related to anything Schattenjagery, contact me at raymond.chitolie@tesco.net. |
