These files were sourced a very long time ago from a now forgotten FTP site. The creator of the following files was gracious enough to respond to my query that I posted on Usenet.
They aren't perfect, and though some of the songs start in quite an abrupt manner (plus all the notes are stored in a single track), they're note-for-note renditions of the General Midi songs used in "Gabriel Knight, Sins of the Father".
I have renamed the files from their original, non-descript names, to longer versions which should help in identifying the pieces. Enjoy!
A new addition to the brilliant Quest Studios MIDI Archive is the well deserved Gabriel Knight 1 MIDI files. Definately worth taking time out to download them as they are all professionally recorded. The only downer (upper?) is that most of them are optimised for MT32 MIDI units, which sound decidedly "interesting" on General MIDI sound devices.
